Alfred (Al) E Olivares is currently a Partner in our LifeScience Hybrid Cloud Practice, specializing in management and technology consulting. He has more than 25 years of working with clients in the LifeScience industries to improve their business processes by driving global transformation industry best practices through enterprise software applications such as Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, QAD, NetSuite, Oracle EBS, Model N, Birst, QlikView and other ETL technologies. Al's expertise includes AWS, Azure, RedHat, business process transformation, system selection, IT strategy, IT due diligence, CIO advisory services, performance review and improvement, gap analysis, requirement gathering, procure to pay process, material management, warehouse management, planning, lean operations, shop floor operations, manufacturing execution systems, and program management. In his various roles, Al is an experienced professional with a strong understanding of critical manufacturing processes: flow, assembly, lean, process, and discrete, performing operational assessments, implementations, and continuous improvement process initiatives. Al has also counseled clients on the impacts and benefits of managed services to allow them to focus on their core competencies. Al also has significant program management experience delivering large scales programs both domestically and globally. Al has served clients across multiple industries, including Biotech, Pharma, medical devices, cannabis, aerospace, industrial building products, oil and gas, maintenance, fashion, insurance, food& beverage, pharmaceutical, biotech, not-for-profit, and research & advisory services. Before joining IBM, Al was a Practice ERP Leader with CohnReznick a midmarket focused consulting firm. He was also a practice lead in Cognizant's Oracle Solutions Practice, responsible for Life Sciences, HealthCare, and Information, Media Entertainment practices. Delivering programs, services, and solutions to both large-cap and mid-cap companies. Earlier in his career, Al worked at Deloitte as a manager in the Oracle practice providing advisory and implementation services to his clients. He was the principal architect in preconfigured ERP solutions for the Life Science Industry. Al also brings industry experience before joining Deloitte. He worked both in technology and supply chain operations. He implemented Oracle implementations domestically and Globally at Integra Life Sciences. He delivered lean training programs to the operations team at Stryker Orthopedics and developed statistical process control programs early in his manufacturing career at Howmet Turbines, a division of Alcoa.
