Divakar S. Mehta

Divakar Mehta is the Senior Director of Global Materials Management at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), supporting the Cell Therapy division. In this role, Divakar leads a global organization responsible for planning and procurement, inventory management, and material lifecycle oversight across a network of 8+ internal and external manufacturing sites. Since joining BMS in 2020, Divakar has played a pivotal role in scaling Cell Therapy operations, including the implementation and operationalization of the division’s first Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process—guiding its evolution from clinical development to commercial launch and rapid growth. Prior to BMS, Divakar held various Supply Chain and Operations leadership roles across multiple divisions at General Electric (GE). His core strengths include being a results-driven leader with deep expertise in materials management, operations strategy, S&OP, Lean and Six Sigma, cross-functional collaboration, and program management. Divakar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
