James Jean joined Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) in 2016, where he has held several positions with varying levels of responsibilities within Pfizer Global Supply Chain, most of which were with Intercompany Operations. James is currently the Sr. Director of US Market Operations for Pfizer Hospital in Specialty Care. In his current role, James works very closely with commercial to develop supply strategies to meet Specialty (Hospital) product needs. Prior to taking on the US Market Operations for Hospital, James was the Director of Pfizer’s Temperature Control Logistics organization, where he led a team of engineers to develop the deep-frozen infrastructure for the COVID-19 Vaccine. Under his leadership, this team was also responsible for developing the dry ice shippers used to ship billions of doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine around the world, which garnered James the nick name of “The Ice Man.” and was mentioned in Albert Bourla’s book “Moonshot.” Prior to joining Pfizer, James worked at Bristol Myers Squibb for 7 years in various roles ranging from Pharma R&D, supporting product development as early as First In Human (FIH) dosing trials through full commercialization and post marketed commitments, and commercial logistics. James holds an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University, and BS from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania.
