Laura Alquist

Vice President, Global Supply Chain Kite, a Gilead Company

Laura Alquist, Vice President of Global Supply Chain, joined Kite in October 2016.  Laura is an accomplished Supply Chain Leader with over 23 years of industry experience.  Laura has vast experience designing and improving Supply Chain operations and systems.  Laura and her team are responsible for Kite’s end-to-end supply chain ensuring successful delivery of product to patients.  The Global Supply Chain Team is responsible for logistics and packaging engineering, inventory management, sourcing and procurement, supply and operations planning process, master data governance, and business systems.  The team works collaboratively to plan, source, and deliver Kite’s life-saving cell therapy products.  

Previously at Kite, Laura held the role of Sr. Director Tech Ops Business Systems.  In this role, Laura established Tech Ops Business Systems Roadmap enabling people, processes, systems, and data governance.  Laura played an instrumental role leading the implementation of US and EU Chain of Identity & Chain of Custody processes and systems for launch readiness.  

Prior to Kite, Laura spent 20 years at Amgen in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT.  At Amgen, Laura was a Global Network Leader for both Commercial Planning and End-to-End Source.  Additionally, Laura established and led the Operations Business Center of Excellence (BCoE) for 6 years.  The Business CoE was a cross-functional/cross-site team responsible for Amgen’s Global Plan-to-Stock and Order-to-Cash business processes, RapidResponse Competency Center, and Master Data Management.  Laura holds a BS in Business Management from California Lutheran University as well as APICS SCOR certification.
