Meera Bhavsar is Vice President, US Hospital Sterile Injectables at Pfizer, Inc., the largest and broadest generic sterile injectables supplier in the US. She is the commercial lead for the generic injectables portfolio and the Marketing and Communications, Portfolio, and Pricing & Commercial Operations teams. Meera has a deep breadth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having spent 29 years in both US and global roles spanning manufacturing, commercial development, and marketing. Moreover, Meera has a passion for and strong understanding of the generic sterile injectables space. After spending over three years at Merck’s West Point manufacturing site, Meera joined Pfizer in 2000, where she held roles of increasing responsibility within the Global Supply organization before transitioning in 2011 to the established products Commercial organization. Here she honed her sterile injectables expertise, including the US launch of 25 generic injectables, significantly increasing multi-source and differentiated drug delivery pipeline program revenues, managing the anesthesia portfolio through the COVID-19 pandemic, and crisis management and leadership during the tornado impact at the Rocky Mount manufacturing site. Meera received her BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy, and her MBA from Stevens Institute of Technology. Meera and her husband, Karteek, live in New Jersey and have two grown children, Dilan and Jasmine, of whom she is very proud. In her free time, she loves to see the world with family and friends, scuba dive, and ski.
