Former Director, Portfolio Strategy BridgeBioNatasha Barros Algaba is a biopharma operations and portfolio strategy leader who helps organizations turn major transitions into operating models that last, including on both sides of M&A: acquisitions and divestments. She began her career as a batch release associate, where she learned that she couldn't release a batch well without understanding what came before it and who depended on it after. That lesson became a conviction: strategy only works when it is grounded in end-to-end operational reality. Across Sandoz, Novartis, Novartis Gene Therapies, and BridgeBio, she has worked in quality assurance, supply chain, program management, and portfolio strategy, moving from generics to rare disease. She speaks about building alignment across teams she doesn't formally lead, designing processes that don't exist yet, and translating complex technical trade-offs into clear executive decisions. Originally from Brazil and based in the US, she holds two non-negotiables for every team she leads: a psychologically safe culture and room for individuality. She sees AI as a way to give people time back by taking on low-value work, so humans have more room for creativity.
